What I do at Shopbop.com

A lot of people are confused about what I design at my current job at Shopbop.com. Here is a good example of how I put a bunch of "raw materials" together to illustrate a fashion concept in an interesting way. This is another one of my favorites, a lookbook for Thakoon. Enjoy friends!

The Sincerest Form of Flattery

I'm in love with this artist I just discovered a couple of days ago and I decided it was okay to copy her if I let you know how amazing she is. Her name is Yallena James and she rocks my world. Here are my first attempts at discovering her style through imitation.

Safety first

I did this for my dad. He works with heavy machinery and such. He's the Safety Captain or Chief or Honcho or whatever. He wanted a safety poster because, "These little dip shits keep injuring themselves."

They didn't pay me but I laughed a lot while I was designing it and I used way more fonts than I needed to just because I could, so I guess it's okay. These little four hour projects are my favorite.

Gestalt and all that stuffs

How many times will I draw these building shapes until I like them? It's a good thing they only take me about a minute to draw—otherwise this would be a really expensive logo.

This has nothing to do with design

and everything to do with love.

Here we are working on concepts for the ArtPedaler show next month by drawing for 20 minutes at a time and then passing our paper's clockwise.

That's Finn, one of Maria's new kitten. He wanted to sit on whatever I was drawing.

Just finished album art for the new Mama Digdown's Brass Band album, "We Make 'Em Say Ooh." Decided to mess with it some more. Maybe they'll want flyers or something.
